The growing demands of compliance have significantly increased the workload for most Audit departments. Manual processes that involve recording, tracking, and reporting on audits and manual findings in spreadsheets, Lotus Notes, Sharepoint, and other generic tools have failed to scale and meet the demands and timeframes for conducting these audits. Organizations are finding it critical to introduce efficiencies, increase the degree of interaction between team members, decrease the turnaround time, and to maintain a high degree of transparency for the audit process. There is also increased pressure for auditors to be more thorough and consistent in their auditing methods.
